CHOOSING THE SHAPE OF YOUR WEDDING RING

Selecting the wedding band you’ll wear for the rest of your life is no day-to-day activity. Don’t panic; nobody expects you to turn up knowing your Court from your Flat Court or your Flat profile from your D-Shaped. That’s why we’ve written a simple guide to the wedding ring profiles available to you, breaking down the intimidating jargon and making your all-important decision-making process that tiny bit easier…

D-SHAPED

Flat on the inside and curved on the outside, the D-shaped band is the most traditional wedding ring profile. This classic silhouette has earned its name due to the capital letter ‘D’ visible in the ring’s cross-section if it were to be cut in half.

COURT

Very similar to the D-shaped profile is the Court band, which is curved slightly on the inside as well as on the outside. Otherwise known as ‘almond-shaped’ or the ‘comfort fit’, this inner curvature can make the ring slightly more comfortable to take on and off, and so is ideal for those who aren’t used to wearing rings.

FLAT COURT

A modern take on the classic court ring, the so-called Flat Court profile boasts a sleek, shiny and flat outerface and a comfortable curved inner.

FLAT

A contemporary option with the potential to look slick and industrial, the Flat profile band flaunts a smooth and levelled face both on the inner and the outer.
